Mark has veen recording since 1970 and has recorded everything from Acoustic Folk, Latin string/brass bands to the Heavy metal of 8 FOOT SATIVA.

Mark and Andrew founded Area 51, the recording Facility in 1997 and since then have recorded many of New Zealands recording artists.

Specialising in mixing classic analog techniques with digital technology, achieving the best of both worlds

STUDIO MANAGER - Andrew Featherstone

Andrew founded Featherstone Studios in 1993. Since then the business has expanded to incorporate the recording facility, PA hire and services, and recently video production. From 2004 the mulitpurpose complex will simply be called "Area 51".

Andrew also owns Intergalactic Records and the New Zealand Battle of the Bands, which is now expanding into World Battle of the Bands in 2004.

Andrew looks after the big picture at Area 51, focusing on growth and development.
